Scope
This privacy policy applies to this pre-launch page of gunBOX GmbH (“gunBOX”). gunBOX has not opened yet; there are no customer relationships and no storage contracts. Accordingly, only the data collected by this page itself is processed.
Processing is carried out in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP, SR 235.1) and the Ordinance on Data Protection (DPO, SR 235.11). Upon opening, a full privacy policy for business operations will replace this version.

Which personal data is processed?
a) E-mail list: if you sign up, we process your e-mail address only. No further details are requested. To evidence consent we additionally store the time of sign-up and confirmation and a non-reversible checksum of your IP address.
b) Enquiries: if you write or call, we process the details you provide yourself (e.g. name, e-mail address, phone number, content of the enquiry).
c) Server logs: when the page is accessed, technical log data is recorded at the hosting provider (IP address, time, file requested, browser identification). It serves secure operation and error analysis.
This page uses no cookies, no web tracking, no analytics tools and no advertising networks.
Purpose and legal basis
- E-mail address: information about the opening of gunBOX and, thereafter, about news on the service — based on your consent. No third-party advertising.
- Enquiries: answering your enquiry — based on your request and our legitimate interest in communication.
- Server logs: secure, uninterrupted operation of the page — based on our legitimate interest.
Signing up creates neither a claim nor a contractual relationship.
Disclosure of personal data
No disclosure to third parties for advertising purposes takes place. Access is limited to the IT/hosting provider bound to confidentiality and our e-mail provider, as far as required for operations. Authorities receive data only where we are legally obliged to provide it.
Data is processed in Switzerland; no transfer abroad takes place.
Retention period
a) E-mail address from the sign-up: retained until you unsubscribe or withdraw your consent; the address is then deleted without delay. Every mailing carries an unsubscribe note.
b) Enquiries: retained for as long as handling the enquiry and any statutory obligations require.
c) Server logs: deleted or anonymised as a rule within a few weeks.
Rights of the data subject
- Right of access (Art. 25 FADP) – in principle free of charge within 30 days
- Right to rectification of inaccurate personal data
- Right to erasure/destruction, unless statutory obligations preclude it
- Right to data disclosure (Art. 28 FADP)
- Withdrawal of consent at any time, without formality, with effect for the future
A message to the address given in section 2 is sufficient. Legal recourse is also available to you; the supervisory authority is the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), Bern.
Data security
gunBOX takes appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised processing, loss or unauthorised access. The page is delivered exclusively in encrypted form (HTTPS); access to the e-mail addresses collected is limited to a small number of people.
Changes and applicable law
gunBOX will adapt this policy as soon as operations begin or the statutory requirements change. The version published on this page applies.
Swiss law applies exclusively. The exclusive place of jurisdiction is Grenchen, Switzerland; mandatory statutory places of jurisdiction are reserved.
